Thanksgiving Turkey Cakepops

thanksgiving turkey cakepops

Turkey cakepops! I made these for my sons preschool class. They are definitely inspired by bakerella’s turkey cakepops. I decided to change the shape to more of a teardrop shape than the round ball shape.

For the eyes I used some white modeling chocolate to make little pill shapes and edible marker to paint the pupil.

I had a bag of candy corns left over from Halloween, used orange mini M&Ms for the nose, red heart sprinkles, and orange flower sprinkles.

For the stick I used fall colored paper straws. I used light cocoa Wilton candy melts thinned out with some crisco for dipping the body.  Then added the candy features before the chocolate dried.  Let them cool, wrapped each one in plastic candy wrappers and added a gobble gobble tag. Turned out so cute!
